Built in the UAE
Since 1930

M.A.H.Y. Khoory Group is a family-owned UAE enterprise of 20+ companies. Across manufacturing, trading, engineering, packaging, waste management, renewable energy, automotive, transport and real estate, its businesses serve industry, infrastructure and the communities around them.

About M.A.H.Y. Khoory Group

Proudly Emirati for almost a century, M.A.H.Y. Khoory Group was established in Dubai in 1930 and is still owned by the Khoory and Sharafi families. Today it is an integrated industrial solutions group of more than 4,000 people, with deep capabilities across manufacturing, engineering and lifecycle services.

Its offering is built in three parts. In manufacturing, the Group’s factories produce recycled paper, corrugated packaging, plastic containers and wood-based pallet products. In trading and projects, its companies represent leading international brands, supplying and engineering water, HVAC and building-performance solutions, and bring passenger and commercial vehicles to the UAE. In services, the Machinery Workshop & Service Centre and the automotive service centres keep equipment and vehicles running, Green Arabia manages and recovers waste, and Pure Energy designs, builds and maintains solar systems. The Group also manages a long-established real estate portfolio.

At the heart of the Group is a closed-loop circular economy: waste paper and wood are recovered, returned to its own mills and workshops, and made into new paper, packaging and pallets. From its UAE base, the Group supplies customers across the country and exports products manufactured in the Emirates to six continents.

An Integrated Group Ecosystem

Materials, services and capabilities move between the Group’s companies, so that the output of one operation becomes the resource of another.

Paper & packaging

Green Arabia and the Recyclable Waste Management Division collect recovered paper through a nationwide network of yards and vehicles. Union Paper Mills converts it into recycled containerboard, which National Paper Industry and other corrugated packaging manufacturers convert into cartons.

Wood recovery

The Solid Waste Management Division recovers waste wood and processes it into biomass fuel for Union Paper Mills and wood chips for Union Wood Works. The resulting composite wood blocks are used in the pallets produced by Union Sustainable Packaging Solutions (PalletBiz UAE).

Engineering lifecycle

The Trading & Projects companies supply and engineer pumping, power and building-services equipment from international principals, and the Group’s Machinery Workshop & Service Centre maintains it in service, with 60 maintenance contracts in place.

Logistics

Greenland Transport operates the Group’s own fleet, moving recovered materials, paper reels and finished goods between its operations across all seven emirates.

Together these connections form a practical circular model, built over decades for commercial reasons rather than as a later commitment.

Recovered in the UAE. Manufactured in the UAE. Returned to industry.

A Workforce Built on Long Service

The Group’s people carry the technical knowledge, customer understanding and operating experience behind its businesses. Many have spent their careers with the Group, and long service is recognised with awards at 25, 40 and 50 years.

That commitment runs both ways. Through the 2008 financial crisis, no employee was let go and no salary was reduced; through the pandemic, salaries were paid in full and on time, with medical support for those affected.

Partner to International Manufacturers

The Group represents 27 international manufacturers in the UAE, providing market knowledge, technical expertise and after-sales service for the brands entrusted to it. Its relationships run deep: the Group has been an authorised Grundfos distributor for more than five decades, and has represented Franklin Electric for more than 30 years.

Towards the Centenary

In 2030, M.A.H.Y. Khoory Group will mark one hundred years of enterprise. Guided by its fifth generation, the Group is investing in new manufacturing capacity, extending its resource-recovery operations and building partnerships to grow beyond the UAE. Innovation runs through that growth, from connected, IoT-enabled monitoring of pumps, solar plants and waste collection to data, automation and AI that help the Group serve customers faster and run its businesses more efficiently.
